Why the single brown Star? Don't we wish we knew... Quilts hold so many secrets!
This 19th century quilt maker used indigo and white printed fabrics for her handsome, classic quilt. We don't know why s/he included one brown square, but what we do know is that quit makers have long favored fabrics dyed in indigo. It is color fast and reliable, and is worthy of including in textiles that are to be used.
Hand quilted in nice even stitches. In Excellent Condition: strong and sturdy, thin and lightweight. Recently hand washed and ready to go.
