1991 Abstract Quilt, "Des Moissons"

A fascinating quilt purchased by its previous (American) owners in an art gallery in Paris in the mid-1990's. They knew nothing of the artist, except that she was a French early Art Quilter, and with some association with gardening and growing crops.
In French, "la moisson" refers to the agricultural harvest of cereal crops such as wheat, barley and oatst -- and the period during which this gathering takes place. Note the words "Pain" (French for "bread") as well as other food related words. I also see images of wheat and more.
I searched Ms. Manuel's name and found only that she once had an atelier in Tournos - in the East of France. She was active in the past, but apparently is no longer working. I am still looking for more on this wonderful artist.
Quilt is in Excellent Condition.
