The beautiful printed cottons fabrics in this early 19th century quilt are only part of what is wonderful here.
There is fine hand quilting throughout, including elegant Feather Wreaths, and the double Diamond "goalpost" borders provide a strong container for the delicate "Honey Bees" within.
Thin and lightweight, the quilt is in very good condition. We have not washed it, but it is not a crisp quilt; it has been washed in the past. With an occasional spot, this early beauty is strong and sturdy, with intact fabrics throughout.
