Recently professionally washed, this turn-of-the-20th century Sunflower (plus!) quilt has just the right proportions and scale to please the eye.
The size (67 x 80) is great for hanging, and its appealing combination of quiet and liveliness makes it a classic. The three straight borders give it "presence" while counting the energy of the middle.
The khaki or ecru color here was likely once green, but I like the way it looks now at least as much as I imagine it looked before. That's taste for you -- everyone has their own, right? Makes the world go 'round.
Excellent Condition, newly washed, with only the occasional light spot, and with well-executed hand quilting, organized in tight hanging diamonds I like this one a lot!
