Sampler Quilt
Unidentified Quilt Maker
Late 20th Century
64 x 96 inches
I found this in New Mexico in a terrific quilt collection there, but there was no information on its history or origin. I'm calling it a Sampler Quilt, assuming that these blocks and border (?) pieces were assembled from blocks left over from other projects.
Graphically strong ~ and free ~ this one is in excellent, crisp condition, with only a small area of discoloration, seen here in the upper left border (full shot). All cottons, and hand quilted.
