 ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
A beautifully made variant of Robbing Peter to Pay Paul which, when organized this way, is commonly known as "Orange Peel."
 This beauty is so precisely made. Meticulous. Those of you who sew know that
it takes a good deal of sewing skill to do curved seams ~ and have
them meet at the corners!
This beauty also has exceptional stitching:
Check out the dense, skillful hand quilting, executed at 8-10 stitches per inch.
Also see the very fine, narrow binding.
Excellent Condition
Sturdy with no wear or fading, and with one light spot ~ see photo.
The back is also pieced, of two beautiful late 19th century cotton prints, organized into a large, framed square. As you can see in the photo, the center fabric has areas of mis-printing.  The back of a quilt is a good practical use of it!
The quilt is thin and lightweight.  Unusual, elegant color.
