In Excellent Condition, this turn-of-the-century treasure is made entirely of silks, but with black velvet centers, which give extra depth and dimension. Some of the silks are variegated in color, adding even more graphic complexity. All intact.
A great size for hanging at 70 x 70 inches. The back is a red silk machine-quilted fabric, available commercially since the time the quilt was made, and sturdy enough to safely hold an applied sleeve for hanging.
