Grandmother's Flower Garden Quilt
Unidentified Quilt Maker, Tansey Family
Circa 1930
66 x 82 inches
Made in Pawnee, Oklahoma
An especially good example of the classic "Grandmother's Flower Garden," a favorite design of American women during the Depression Era. Uses scraps efficiently!
This one comes out of the Pawley family of Tulsa, Oklahoma. It is in Excellent Condition and is exceptionally well made, with fine hand quilting that goes around each and every hexagon. NOTE: the last photo shows the quilting, though the color is not quite right!
All cottons. This one will add a cheery note wherever it is placed in your home ... wall, bed, or folded!
