Grandmother's Flower Garden Medallion Quilt
Unidentified Quilt Maker
Circa 1940
71 x 83 inches
Origin Unknown
A billion tiny hexagons, a vast array of Depression era printed cottons, a scalloped rainbow border, fine hand quilting, and in Excellent Condition.
What more could you ask for? Oh, I know! Many of the prints in Grandma's flowers are "fussy cut," with the fabric cut "just so" ~ to center the floral design. (See last photo.)
And oh! The quilt maker organized the colors to create a sparkly overall medallion. You should buy this one!
