There's little doubt that this late 19th century youth size quilt was made in Pennsylvania by a maker of German ancestry. The bright colors and the Bars back are classic indicators of that distinctive design heritage.
The hand quilting is excellent, and in spite of some fading, visible in the photos, the quilt is in excellent condition. Strong and sturdy, thin and lightweight.
