~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
This quilt maker used quite a variety of late nineteenth century indigo prints in
her pieced blocks.  These are typical turn of the century cotton fabrics,
available to everyday women ~ who used them in sewing clothing,
household items, and of course, quilts.
The differences in the shades of indigo makes for eye movement, enlivening and balancing the quiet formality of the whole.
Separately bound with the same print s/he used for the plain blocks.
Hand Quilted in very even and consistent stitching.
Someone had sewn a cotton "sleeve" on the back for ease of hanging.
Very Good Condition.
