This quilt maker must have had such fun creating this wild variation of the classic "Lone Star." S/he makes it her very own. What an idea!
Fill eight large diamonds with tons of small, random-shaped pieces, and then sew them all together to create a unique, sparkling single Star.
Check out how s/he incorporates the four points on both the left and right sides into the Crazy Quilt outer borders.
A truly memorable century-old patchwork quilt in excellent,(apparently) unused condition. There's a patch of light discoloration in one of the solid pink squares, visible in the photos below.
Hand quilted in nice even stitches, in Clamshell (AKA Baptist Fan) designs.
