Centennial Central Medallion

Unidentified Quilt Maker
Dated on quilt:  "1876"
82 x 86  inches
Found in New York State

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Dated in ink "1876" with the word Centennial also inked, this Postage Stamp style quilt has trillions (f not zillions) of pieces.
I haven't yet counted them, but I'm guessing sone of you will do that post haste. Somewhere in the neighborhood of 1,000 pieces, I believe.
More difficult would be to examine it to see if there are repeat prints or, if there are no repeats ~ the very definition of a "charm quilt."
The fabrics are intact, but the quilt could use a bath.  There's some staining in places, somewhat difficult to see if you are not right up upon the quilt.  I've decided to offer the quilt in its current unwashed condition.
The quilt is a virtual catalogue of cotton prints from the Centennial era, and would be good as a study piece, or for those who wish to reproduce nearly 150 years old.
