Precisely pieced, and hand quilted in nice small stitching, this mid 20th century Lone Star is in near-mint condition, and ready to brighten any space.

All cottons, and bright as a penny (a primary-colors penny?), the dynamism of the happy, sparkling Star is restrained, but just a little, by the triple borders on two sides. Borders are the colors of the Italian flag!

And the narrow binding, in a lovely shade of yellow, finishes the quilt perfectly. The size, 72 x 82 inches is a good size for hanging, if that is your pleasure.
