Anne Orr designed this quilt, and in the 1930's someone did a lovey job of turning the printed pattern into a finished quilt. Most of Orr's quilt designs are easy to identify. Her designs were frequently small patchwork squares of solid colors, organized in to"picture" ~ most often floral designs. (See last photo here...) This design departs from that "pixilated" style.
When Orr was inducted into the Quilter's Hall of Fame, Merikay Waldvogel wrote this: " Designer and successful businesswoman Anne Orr developed a worldwide reputation for sophisticated needlework patterns and accurate instructions. She sold patterns by mail order and served as the needlework editor for Good Housekeeping magazine for twenty years."
All cottons, Excellent Condition and ready to go. Hand quilted.
