Carpenter's Wheel Variant Quilt

Carpenter's Wheel Variant

Unidentified Quilt Maker
Circa 1890
67 x 82 inches
Origin Unknown; Found in Connecticut

Elaborate quilting designs excellently executed by someone very skilled and experienced in hand quilting fill the alternate white spaces in this handsome "Carpenter's Wheel" variant quilt.

I love the quiet of this elegant piece; it is not screaming for attention -- not in the least. With some variation in the hues of the soft browns, it has a small stain, and one small area which has lost color (see last photos).

I look forward to seeing the bed or wall this beauty enhances.  If you are the buyer, please send a photo of the install!
