Plaids, plaids, and more plaids! All variety of plaids: almost every piece of this probably Southern-made quilt. Even the back. Add a few stripes, some solids, and some gingham for sashing, and this is what you get!
A clue as to its origin: Alamance County, North Carolina was famous for the plaids produced starting in the mid 19th century. It produced the first commercially-woven colored cotton fabrics manufactured in the American South.
The quilt is of medium weight and In Excellent Condition.Simply and nicely hand quilted.
