Another little mystery with this quilt. Check out my last photo ... a different quilt said to have been made in Gee's Bend, Alabama by Annie Bendolph, one of the now-famous quilters there.
The one listed here for sale likely dates later than the Gee's Bend quilt, but my guess is that someone saw the earlier quilt and did her own, more symmetrical, version of it. How I wish I had more info on my quilt here! (Please label your quilts!)
It makes it so interesting for this quilt maker to scatter the larger blue triangles as s/he did here. Red, white and blue treasure. All cotton -- and hand quilted. Excellent Condition.
