Fascinating! How did this fade occur? This late 19th century, all cotton Bars quilt is in crisp, apparently Unused Condition -- but it has this odd faded area.
However it got there, the fade sits just right -- and has given a whole new dimension to the quilt, in a very artful way. Accidental Art -- Mama Nature Rules!
Hand quilted, with three classic printed fabrics: pink and green on the front and a chocolate-y brown on the back.
