So many super narrow "logs" in this late 19th century tied quilt. I wonder how many pieces ... who wants to take on the challenge??
The quilt maker made light and dark cotton scraps into squares that are her organized to form radiating diamonds, shimmering due to the tiny scale. S/he surrounded it all with borders, also made of strips and set at 90 degrees angles. The perfect finish.
In Excellent Condition, but with some of the lighter colored strips having stains. On the back, the quilt has an applied sleeve to facilitate hanging. As you can see in the photo, the quilt shows beautifully on a wall, and is equally appealing on a bed.
