"String Quilts" are typically full of a variety of fabrics. It's a great way to use scraps of different prints and solids. This quilt maker must have had quite a bit of the orange plaid! S/he also had yardage of a different orange plaid that make up the back.
Makers sewed together (approximately) parallel strips of various prints and solids, and then cut them into "Striped"triangles. Four of those striped triangles are set together, and make the striped diamonds you see here. (Second photo makes it easy to see.)
This quilt maker had a gift, distributing the tones and colors, and gauging the scale in ways very pleasing to the eye. All of the fabrics are cotton.
Medium weight. Hand quilted. Excellent Condition. Ready for you.
