This quilt maker hand embroidered the names of most of the 28 blocks here: "Sunbeam," "Grandmother's Fan," Rising Sun," Cherry Basket," and many more. Check out the photo details here. Beautiful stuff.
A superb needleworker, s/he made a sampler quilt using published patterns out of (I believe) the Ruby McKim Studios. This maker knew his or her way around piecework and applique, as well as excellent hand embroidery. Very well made!
This is a summer quilt; it has a front and a back (also solid pink). No batting or quilting, but with a nicely finished edge. Excellent Condition with no apologies except for a few very minor, occasional spot.
