S/he cut lots of small squares. S/he sewed them together into Ninepatches. Organized them all by color to create the overall effect of sparkly, radiating Diamonds, with an anchoring central cross.
S/he framed the center field with three borders, and finished by bringing the gingham back around to the front for a binding.
A lightweight and thin quilt, it's in Excellent Condition. Hand quilted in small, even stitches. An 20th century Pennsylvania classic!
