A Fun Challenge
I bought this quilt in Pennsylvania, intrigued by several of its features suggesting that it was Amish. Once I had it in hand, I saw that there are indeed some characteristically and distinctly Amish features ... and some suggesting otherwise.
Send me a message if you want to know the details, but I have concluded, along with some other experts, that this is more likely a Mennonite quilt. Closely associated with Amish, but with some left turns.
A beautifully made cotton patchwork quilt with expert hand quilting, rounded corners, and a separately applied red binding. In Excellent Condition with the exception of an area of light staining in the (single) lighter blue corner piece. (See photos.)
