An mid-19th century LeMoyne Star quilt with gorgeous cotton fabrics, all of them printed. The back is a printed design that today looks "pixilated." We see this kind of print in early quilts; it's sometimes called vermicular.
The quilt is in excellent, crisp condition, with one exception: As can be seen in the photos there is some staining in the border. I have not washed the quilt, though my hunch is that those stains will was out in a safe hand wash. One can't guarantee, of course... Please examine the photos carefully.
The color is simply luscious. Hand quilted and ready to go.
