Orville ("15 months") and Milton ("5 years") are forever-recorded on this charming folk art quilt dated 1914. The off-set wool rectangles form a Brick Wall, which the quilt maker surrounded with borders of various shapes.
A good size for hanging, the quilt is filled with images in outline stitched embroidery, including wagons, fish, knives, hats, and cats ~ the simple things (and creatures) of everyday life at the turn of the century. Fun and learning for the kids?
