The way quilt makers decide to sash and border their quilts makes such a difference. Here the triple strips not only surround the patchwork interior, but separate the blocks. And then ... they meet at the intersections creating Nine Patches. It works!
The printed cottons are typical of the fabrics widely available to mainstream women at the turn of the 20th century. Excellent Condition, Hand Quilted.
