~~ Grand Dame ~~
A superb example of a mid-19th century quilt, this one has survived her 170 or so years completely intact, and in otherwise Perfect Condition. She is just back from her professional washing. Clean and bright.
The quilt's expert, experienced maker executed fine, masterful hand quilting ~ crosshatch in the center and elegant feather wreaths in her classic Swag Borders.
Master quilt maker, Joe Cunningham, admired this red and green beauty during our photography session, drinking in the glory of this fine example of the quilt maker's art.
