I've "asked around" ~ and I know some mighty knowledgeable quilt experts. None, so far has seen this design. So until shown otherwise, I'm feeling confident in saying this quilt is an Original Design rather than made from a kit or published pattern.
Made during the "Colonial Revival," the maiden looks like a variation of the Parasol Lady" we see made pretty commonly in the same period. Butterflies were very popular at the same time. So, it's an original take ~ someone's personal way of combining known designs.
In Excellent Condition, and with both hand and machine applique, the quilt is entirely hand quilted in nice even stitches.
