So many fun cotton fabrics in this 1940s String Star. Each diamond in each of the eight point Stars is made of 10-13 "string" pieces. Yes, I counted a few of them!
Hand quilted in extraordinarily fine, consistent stitching, organized in a dense crosshatch. Best seen in the close up photo (last), in the solid red inner border.
The background fabric is a lightly printed cotton and affords the whole lively, scrappy quilt an extra shimmer. Quilt is sturdy and crisp, and with a few very light stains, visible in the photos. Thin and lightweight.
