Check out the hand quilting on this Trip Around the World quilt, made circa 1940. This one has a lot going for it -- in addition to the extraordinary stitching.
In Excellent Condition, the quilt is large enough to work with on a modern bed; it measures a generous 80 x 92 inches. The scalloped edge frames the cheery border, hand quilted in cables. . The display and range of the printed fabrics in the thousands of small squares is impressive ... and fun.
