After over sixty years of collecting and selling quilts, I continue to be amazed at the inventiveness and ingenuity of our American foremothers! Still searching for the name of this patchwork design, and thinking it may be her own variation -- setting together basic shapes -- squares, triangles and rectangles -- in a new way.
Whether this is a completely personal pattern or not -- this quilt maker's choices of color, placement, proportion, and borders work perfectly, in my eyes. Hand stitched (see last photo), and in Very Good Condition. Sturdy and intact, with an occasional spot, this pleasing, cheery quilt top is ready for you.
