Quilts have always reflected popular culture (along with so much else), and here we see a space-related pieced design called "Sky Rocket."
While it would be 20 + years until the first rocket landed on the Moon (Soviet unmanned "Luna 9," 1966 , the 1940s saw people beginning to become interested in space travel. (In 1969 the a crew on U.S. Apollo 11 the first manned landing. Historic!)
In Excellent Condition: strong and sturdy, thin and lightweight with elaborate, and very fine hand quilting. Ready for your collection -- or perhaps for your favorite kid's bedroom!
