Bouncing Balls Quilt
Unidentified Quilt Maker
Circa 1940
64 x 92 inches
Origin Unknown
A cheery mid-20th century pieced quilt, in Excellent Condition, made from a splendid array of Depression era printed fabrics - all of them cottons. Until I find the more traditional name for it, I'm calling it "Bouncing Balls."
The quilt maker took the extra time to add a separate Nile Green binding to the scalloped edges. This one is thin and lightweight, and lightly hand quilted. Makes me happy just looking at it.
