I'd bet on a Southern origin for this quilt -- based on the things you pick up consciously and subconsciously when you are a quilt dealer and appraiser. One thing I noticed is the weight -- medium. And perhaps counterintuitively, Southern quilts are very often a bit thicker than we'd maybe think.
Wherever it was made it's a graphically striking textile, with precise piecing (check out her points!) and skillful hand quilting. Quilter stitched in multiple rows within and mimicking the shape of each printed piece on the other side.
A nice range of turn-of-the-20th century printed cottons. This one is a good size to hang on a wall, where it would look great! I know cause it has been on my wall!
