The quilt maker organized this small quilt into alternating dark and light rectangles. The light ones are tobacco premiums, each a flannel with the flag of various countries around the word represented.
Whimsical appliquéd wool images in the alternate blocks and around the border include red bunnies, flowers, leaves -- and even a female figure. Hand embroidered around each applied image.
There is the occasional small hole to be found in a few of the wool fabrics, but overall this small quilt displays well.
