I stopped counting when I got to 152,678,004 pieces! OK, I didn't -- but isn't this simply hard to believe?? A true Show Stopper!
While this tied quilt is not in perfect condition, it is nonetheless fantastical! There are plenty of pieces which are faded or have started to go -- but the worn pieces are all in place -- not hanging off of the quilt. It displays as intact. See my last photo -- I've circled some typical damaged pieces.
The sold red prairie points (edging) are all there. If any look missing it's just because that particular piece is folded back under the quilt. Tied with red knots. Plaid back. All cottons. Quite a quilt!
