Pinwheel Quilt
Unidentified Quilt Maker
Circa 1890
64 x 75 inches
Origin Unknown; Found in Illinois
Great printed fabrics including a gorgeous brown back with Fall Leaves! One of the red fabrics is a great "conversation print," of some anchors.
The quilt maker added a wonderful patchwork binding, all of the various pieces separately applied. See my last photo for a close up of the beautiful printed back, and to see the very cool patchwork binding.
Just back from a professional hand washing, and in excellent condition. Hand quilted in Clamshell or Fan design.
