Crazy Quilt
Unknown Quilt Maker
Circa 1960
70 x 80 inches
Origin Unknown; Found in Pennsylvania
Made entirely of flannels, this mid-20th century Crazy Quilt is an excellent example of how a maker with great design skills can put together a bunch of wide-ranging scraps into a lively, happy whole.
In Excellent Condition, and apparently made in a Quilt-As-You-Go Fashion: The back is squares of striped flannels, sewn together once they were foundation pieced.
This one looks great, and feels great. Wonderfully designed, so good on a wall -- and all flannel-y and cozy for a bed.
